Description
Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client on a contract basis in McCarran, Nevada. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company's payables process efficiently while ensuring accuracy in all transactions. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to evolving systems and workflows.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable invoices promptly and accurately, ensuring all vendor bills are properly coded and entered.
Utilize QuickBooks Online and efficiently transition to new financial systems as required.
Monitor and manage payments, primarily through automated clearing house (ACH) transactions.
Ensure all invoices are correctly coded to the appropriate accounts and classifications.
Maintain organized records of payables and documentation for audit purposes.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and confirm payment approvals.
Handle a weekly volume of up to 50 invoices with attention to detail and precision.
Verify the accuracy of all bills and ensure they are input into the system in a timely manner.
Provide support in optimizing accounts payable workflows to improve efficiency.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and the ability to learn new financial software systems.
Strong skills in coding invoices and processing payments.
Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and check runs.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Solid understanding of invoice processing and accounts payable principles.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing systems and processes.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and vendors.
