THE POSITION

As an Aging Case Aide 1, you will learn complex procedures and policies involved in the OPTIONS program as well as clerical duties necessary to carry out daily tasks. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Aging Case Aide 1, you will provide public contact work through human services to senior citizens. This role requires interpersonal skills, organization, and a compassionate mindset to provide quality service. Incumbents are responsible for learning the complex procedures and policies involved in the OPTIONS program offered to Pike County seniors age 60 and Older. You will greet consumers, offer assistance, answer questions, and take calls on behalf of the agency. This position organizes and records information using computer and paper files. You will have the opportunity to assist consumers in community locations with tasks such as home delivered meals, relocations, delivery of supplies and documents, preparation of forms, applications, and bill payments.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of public contact work, which involved obtaining or providing information ;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Pike County. If no eligible candidates who live within Pike County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
