THE POSITION
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is hiring a Seasonal Laborer for Delaware Canal State Park in Yardley. This hands-on role supports the upkeep of park grounds and facilities, helping to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors. You will assist maintenance staff with a variety of tasks that keep the park running smoothly throughout the season. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will help keep Delaware Canal State Park clean, safe, and welcoming for all visitors. You will support daily maintenance needs, assist staff across the park, and contribute to positive visitor experiences throughout the season.
General Duties
Collect and dispose of garbage throughout the park.
Support staff with janitorial needs in park buildings and facilities.
Assist with general landscaping and grounds upkeep.
Restock commonly used materials and supplies as needed.
Provide support to staff in meeting visitor and customer service needs.
Public Relations
Present a professional image by following the Bureau's mission, maintaining proper uniform appearance, and using professional language and conduct.
Keep vehicles clean and remain prepared to assist visitors.
Maintain a basic knowledge of the park and its operations.
Provide information and assistance to park visitors when requested.
Miscellaneous
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned to support the Bureau's mission.
Follow instructions from supervisors and assist with other tasks as needed to ensure smooth park operations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
