Intermodal Shuttle truck driver

Average pay: $1,275-$1,425 weekly

Home time: Daily

Experience: 3 months or greater CDL experience

Overview

Haul freight containers and move company-owned chassis from railyard to railyard.

100% no-touch freight that is 100% drop-and-hook.

Drive a tractor from Schneider's pool of 150+ day cabs. No assigned trucks.

Drive in and out of railyards within 60 miles of Chicago, IL.

Pay and bonus potential

Hourly pay and load pay.

Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.

Paid orientation.

Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.

Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Drivers on this account are required to drive at night.

Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.

Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL.

Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
