Job Focus Area
The Louisiana Department of Education, Office of Teaching and Learning, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator 4 to support Educator Development and Teacher Preparation and Accountability functions within the Educator Talent & Workforce Development team. This position reports to the Admin Program Specialist and is responsible for providing support to the Administrative Program Specialist-A, Deputy Assistant Superintendent, and the Division of Educator Development and Preparation and Evaluation (Accountability) office operations, for administrative tasks, for the management of budgets and contracts, and the programmatic support of the various programs and initiatives across the division. Day-to-day collaboration will be required with LDOE staff to ensure timelines are being met and processes are followed.
Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:
Experience working with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets) to create, organize, and manage electronic files.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook (scheduling and email management) and Zoom (meeting coordination and facilitation).
Prior experience using case management systems or electronic databases for tracking, processing, and retrieving records.
Demonstrated ability to review and analyze sensitive documents, such as employee time and attendance records.
Strong data entry and document management skills, including scanning, indexing, and retrieving records.
Experience providing customer service and stakeholder support, including responding to inquiries, clarifying requirements, and resolving issues professionally.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a high-volume environment with strict deadlines.
Demonstrated skill in working independently and with discretion, while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in preparing clear, accurate responses and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As an Administrative Coordinator, you will support the Division of Educator Development by ensuring efficient operations, strong communication, and effective coordination across initiatives. In this role, you will:
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external engagements
Coordinate meeting logistics, including materials, agendas, and technology setup
Assist with travel arrangements, timekeeping, and administrative documentation
Provide on-site and virtual support for trainings, webinars, and conferences
Track timelines, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely execution of initiatives
Support preparation of materials for Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) meetings
Manage supplies, inventory, and property tracking for the division
Support planning and execution of division-wide meetings and events
Work independently on special projects as assigned
Provide administrative guidance and updates during team meetings
Perform other duties as needed to support division operations
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This is a part-time position and is not eligible for benefits or paid holidays, and has a limit to the number of hours worked ( maximum of 1245 hours ) in a 12 month period, beginning with the first day of employment. The hours belong to the employee and any available hours follow the employee.
Work Schedule: Work days and hours to be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
