About the Position: Located in the Qualifications section below Responsibilities Installation, maintenance, testing, evaluation, and repair of local and campus area networks, advanced network communication devices and equivalent media links. Diagnose and resolve network problems. Program, install, uninstall, upgrade, and maintain cryptographic devices in support of Secure Internet Protocol Router Network. Provide technical guidance and assist customers in installing applications and troubleshooting issues. Use analysis results to determine ways to improve network link relocation and modification. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester, OK and serves as an Information Technology Specialist (NETWORK) coordinating and integrating technical aspects of Information Technology within Installation requirements. GS-11 Basic Requirement for Information Technology Specialist (NETWORK) Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience configuring hubs, switches, or routers; Experience monitoring network performance; and Experience performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, or mitigation of network related issues using a multitude of tools and/or techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
