Job Purpose:

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery to ensure continuous operation and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily visual inspections of equipment to assess functionality, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and quality requirements.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery, including calibration and validation of equipment such as pH meters, conductimeters, refractometers, presses, robots, incubators, fillers, analytical balances, and more.

Execute critical safety protocols like Lockout/Tagout and Line Breaking procedures before preventive maintenance to protect personnel during mechanical interventions.

Collaborate with technical support, quality assurance, and production teams to monitor manufacturing processes, troubleshoot deviations, and maintain equipment performance.

Supervise or assist with the assembly, disassembly, adjustment, and repair of machinery and mechanical systems.

Document maintenance activities, equipment parameters, and inspection results in official logs and records according to company and regulatory standards.

Participate in process improvements, train peers on maintenance best practices, and comply with GMP, safety, and environmental protocols.

Respond promptly to mechanical failures or malfunctions and resolve equipment-related production issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

Technical diploma or associate degree in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, mechatronics, or related field (preferred).

Demonstrated experience in preventive and corrective maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings.

Knowledge of calibration, validation, and mechanical problem-solving techniques.

Understanding of safety procedures and compliance protocols (GMP, OSHA, etc.).

Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
