The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the agency charged with licensing and regulating State of Florida businesses and professionals, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, condominiums, hotels, and restaurants. Our mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly, and we strive to meet this goal in our day-to-day operations.
The Work You Will Do:
This position is located within the Bureau of Compliance of the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. This position is a part of the administrative assistant team and is responsible for the administrative functions in the office.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for the administrative functions in the office to include :
Answering telephones and routing calls to the appropriate staff members, opening incoming mail and routing it to the relevant individuals, scheduling appointments, organizing, filing, and maintaining both paper and electronic files.
Provide callers with pertinent information and compile and maintain various reports and records for the Financial Examiner/Analyst II (FEA II) and Research & Training Specialist (RTS) supervisors.
Arrange travel schedules and reservations as well as help maintain the calendar(s) and coordinate meetings for the FEA II and RTS teams.
Assist the FEA II and RTS Supervisors with hiring packages for new staff members, including, but not limited to, scheduling interviews and work samples, collecting documents from the applicants, compiling documents and information for the hiring package, and sending scanned documents to the Division HR Liaison.
Greets and welcomes visitors, determines the nature of their business, and directs visitors to the employer or the appropriate person.
Performs other related work as required, including, but not limited to, special assignments, research, and report preparation, as needed.

Minimum Requirements :
Two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service and administrative functions.
