Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will conduct investigations of suspected violations of criminal and civil regulations. You will issue permits to authorized individuals for access to designated areas for the purpose of hunting, fishing, trapping and other authorized dispersed outdoor activities using permit sales and recreation access management services system. You will respond to reported violations and take independent and appropriate action to apprehend, detain, and charge suspects or secure the violated site for further investigation. You will use proper and legal techniques to investigate violations of state and federal wildlife laws/installation regulations. You will make reports that include investigative material, witness statements, pictures and other information essential to a professional investigation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, organizing and conducting investigations including interviews, gathering and preserving evidence; 2) Writing reports related to criminal investigations and law enforcement operations; and 3) Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing and explaining conservation regulations to members of the public. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR I have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree OR I have successfully completed an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position OR I have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
