Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant Intermediate to join our team in Glen Allen, VA. This is a long-term contract position offering a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and two days working remotely. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset and a collaborative approach to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide valuable guidance to less experienced team members.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret financial records to prepare accurate accounting statements and reports.

Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data analysis.

Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to quality assurance standards within accounting processes.

Mentor less experienced team members, offering guidance and support to enhance their attention to detail and growth.

Perform routine accounting functions, including reconciliations and ledger reviews, with precision and attention to detail.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.

Support hybrid work operations effectively, maintaining productivity both remotely and in-office.

Identify areas for process improvement within accounting workflows and implement solutions.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and queries.

Assist with periodic audits and reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in financial analysis and accounting processes.

Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing complex financial data.

Familiarity with quality assurance practices in accounting.

Strong mentoring skills to guide less experienced team members effectively.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

Thorough knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
