Your JobDEPCOM Power is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their growing team at their Bedminster, NJ office. As an Electrical Engineer at DEPCOM, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) power plants. This position offers an opportunity to gain expertise in various electrical engineering disciplines, including DC, Medium Voltage (MV), and High Voltage (HV) design. You will receive direct mentorship and hands-on experience, accelerating your professional growth and industry knowledge.This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship. Our TeamDEPCOM is a leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), Operation and Maintenance (O&M), Repowering and Energy Storage services for the U.S. utility solar and energy industries. What You Will Do- Create comprehensive electrical drawing packages for PV and Energy storage projects from 30% design through Issue For Construction (IFC).- Conduct and document system loss analyses, grounding studies, arc flash assessments, and ampacity calculations.- Draft engineered specifications and corresponding bills of materials to assist in procurement for assigned projects.- Utilize AutoCAD for material take-offs as needed.- Perform analyses for various installation architectures, grounding schemes, and major equipment.- Collaborate with colleagues and actively share expertise through mentorship to enhance team capabilities and support professional growth.- Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.- Engage with clients and stakeholders to support the design and delivery of power plants.- Ensure compliance with contract specifications and scope of work.- Travel up to 15% to job sites as required. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other related Engineering discipline.- Experience in Photovoltaic (PV) solar, Energy Storage Applications, and/or general EPC Projects.- Valid driver's license.- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future. What Will Put You Ahead- Acquired EIT certification and actively pursuing PE licensure.- Experience with power systems calculations.- Experience with and understanding of National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and NFPA 70E.- Experience in reviewing scope of work and contracts, with strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and manage risks.- Experience in plant start-up and commissioning, including comprehensive troubleshooting skills to ensure operational readiness and optimize system performance. For this role, we anticipate paying $100k-140k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
