Electrical Mechanical Tech (Engineering Tech)

Pay:

$30 - $40/hr to start

Shift:

1st Shift, 6:00am - 4:30pm OR 8am - 6:30pm

Monday - Friday, heavy overtime and weekends if needed. MUST be open to this

Key Responsibilities

Support electrical engineers with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of aerospace electrical systems and components

Assist in the build, modification, and repair of electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, PCBAs, and test fixtures

Perform electrical tests and measurements using multimeters, hipot testers, continuity testers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions

Document test results, engineering changes, and non-conformances in accordance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards

Assist with failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions

Support production and manufacturing teams with process improvements and technical troubleshooting

Maintain tools, test equipment, and lab areas; ensure calibration and compliance

Follow safety, ESD, quality, and regulatory procedures at all times

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on aerospace experience)

Strong understanding of electrical principles, wiring, and circuit functionality

Experience working with electrical assemblies, harnesses, or PCBAs

Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs

Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow aerospace procedures and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace industry experience (commercial, defense, space, or UAV)

Familiarity with AS9100, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 , or similar standards

Experience with wire harness fabrication, termination, crimping, soldering, and rework

Exposure to environmental, vibration, or functional testing

Experience supporting engineering change orders (ECOs) or R&D builds

Basic knowledge of CAD tools or electrical design software

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $39.00/hr.
