Leidos' Defense Systems is seeking a talented Entry Level Mechanical Engineer for its Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (CHGB). The CHGB is the Army's #1 priority for strategic weapons capability for long-range precision fires and will counter and gain a lead on our adversaries' technological advances in this field, come join us in this exciting, cutting-edge field.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain technical data package (TDP) artifacts such as engineering drawings and documentation.

Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME standards.

Support production by troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Collaborate within integrated product teams to support drawing updates and production activities.

Implement engineering solutions in coordination with the Responsible Engineer.

Interpret engineering specifications and drawing structures to complete model and drawing modifications.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.

Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles, or Hypersonics.

Prior work in assembly, integration, or testing of missile systems.

Experience creating engineering drawings using PTC Creo and Windchill.

Working knowledge of GD&T principles/tolerance stack-up analysis for parts and assemblies.

Understanding of cost and schedule impacts associated with engineering deliverables.

Experience supporting fast-paced or rapidly evolving development programs.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
