Staff Accountant

Direct Hire

$80-105k

*Position is fully onsite

Kelly is seeking a Staff Accountant or Bookkeeper to work with our client, a real-estate focused organization and family office, on a direct hire basis! This is an excellent opportunity to join a casual and friendly small office environment within walking distance to the beach.

The Staff Accountant will handle the following responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

Enter invoices in QuickBooks for all entities verifying proper amounts, entity, and account coding

Prepare checks and backup for review/signature ensuring completeness and accuracy

Control and track all outgoing checks, payments

Accounts Receivables

Generate and email/mail monthly Rent & Electricity invoices

Receive and enter payments for all sites & residential properties in QuickBooks

Calculate electric consumption of all office units

Process credit cards for monthly office & residential rental payments

Follow up with tenants on open invoices

Other Accounting

Prepare all bank reconciliations for group bank accounts

Prepare all bank deposits and make deposits at various banks

Monitor bank accounts and propose checks to cover low balances/overdrafts

Track all State & Federal tax filings and payments

Reconcile credit card statements and charges

Maintain filing of all documents and files in Corporate office

Property Management:

Calculate CPI Increases monthly for Office & Residential Tenants

Prepare and email/mail CPI increase letters to Office & Residential Tenants

Prepare POs for Corporate and operating real estate properties

Office Administration and Other

Answer incoming phone calls at Corporate Office

Order office supplies for Corporate Office and other locations

Pick up mail from PO boxes

Sort, distribute, and process all incoming mail

Process and mail outgoing mail including tax returns and other tax filings

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree

Relevant and recent work experience in a Staff Accountant or Full-Charge Bookkeeper role

Entry-level degreed accounting professionals are also welcome to apply

Experience with Excel and QuickBooks required

Real estate or construction industry experience is highly preferred

Local candidates only; Los Angeles South Bay area candidates highly preferred
