Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Document Control Specialist . This position is hybrid and based on customer needs, the successful candidate should expect frequent, and at times short-notice, on-site requirements at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC. For this reason, only those located within a 100-mile radius of FAA Headquarters will be considered.
T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs, and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.
What You'll Be Doing:
Coordinates the flow of documents between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction team, or other department groups. Incumbent may be responsible for a small-sized project.
Will have knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation.
Processes one or more document @types through all procedural steps in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines. Ensures that pre-established document control requirements (e.g., which document numbering system will be used; how many and which signatures will be required for certain approvals, etc.) are satisfactorily met throughout the duration of the project.
Receives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard document management programs to register documents, maintain databases, and produces logs, transmittals, and other reports as required. Enters data and produces reports using other standard office automation or department-specific computer applications
Maintains an established data distribution system and schedule for the assigned project based upon client, project, department, and supplier requirements. Expedites review, signature approval, and release of supplier and internally produced documents.
May perform some clerical duties such as light typing, filing, answering phones, messenger service, etc.
Assists junior document control staff to ensure effective implementation of project-specific procedures.
Performs other duties commensurate with functional level and responsibilities.
Contributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with others.
Scans documents for electronic storage.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
High School Diploma and 12+ years of related work experience with at least 8+ years in document controls or Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years related experience
Experience working with documents, hard copy and digital, and file management
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational skills
Experience performing quality control checks
Ability to clearly and professionally communicate both verbally and written
Ability to follow directions after receiving the project orientation criteria and work flow instructions
Attention to detail
Experience working with secure contract documents, reports, and plans for infrastructure that may be classified as sensitive information is preferred
Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed. ?

Salary Range: $42.50 - $74.38
