Description

We are partnering with a non-profit organization who is seeking a part-time Accounting Specialist to support accurate financial operations. This is a rewarding opportunity for an accounting professional who is detail-oriented, values community impact, and enjoys a mix of accounting and interpersonal responsibilities.

Schedule will be approximately 20-30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Process and post daily transactions for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable using QuickBooks Online.

Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.

Issue checks, record and categorize financial transactions, and maintain accurate books.

Assist with payroll processing and payroll report generation.

Support the preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.

Help with tax preparation and organization of financial records for compliance and auditing.

Generate routine and ad hoc financial reports for management and board review.

Communicate with clients, answer phone calls, and process credit card payments over the phone.

Occasionally assist at special events hosted by the organization.

Qualifications:

Proven experience with QuickBooks Online and general accounting practices required.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required.

Nonprofit accounting experience a plus.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel),

Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional interpersonal manner.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative setting.
