About the Job:
Taco Bell is looking for an experienced and motivated Marketing Paralegal to join its Marketing, Media and Sourcing Team within the Legal Department. This position will directly report to the Director, Legal and will primarily support intellectual property and marketing initiatives within the RSC. The ideal candidate will be a high energy, adaptive and detailed oriented individual who is a culture champion. They will be self-directed and able to easily adapt to multiple and changing priorities while handling a high volume of work often under quick deadlines.
The Day-to-Day:
Coordinating and performing content review of marketing, advertising, and promotional materials to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements;
Assessing advertising claims' substantiation, preparing disclaimers and supporting sweepstakes, contests, activations and promotional offers;
Drafting or populating templates for various legal documents, including but not limited to official rules and/or terms and conditions for promotions and sweepstakes.
Working closely with Taco Bell's business units, including the Food Innovation Team, Operations, Marketing, etc., to understand the scope of their various projects and identify potential risks that will need to be addressed in order to support their marketing initiatives
Reviewing and clearing creative content for issues related to copyrights, trademark, and rights of publicity and privacy, including by supporting the trademark clearance process for new products and programs, which may involve providing training to marketing team members on this process;
Supporting on-going registration and maintenance of Taco Bell trademarks globally

Developing business acumen and a high level of business knowledge over time.
Prioritizing and managing issues and communications with discretion, a high degree of autonomy, and minimal guidance
Assisting in identifying and implementing process improvements to develop best practices and optimize and scale marketing legal review services
Is this you?
At least 5 years of legal experience; an IP or marketing paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department
Bachelor's Degree required
Completion of a paralegal program with a Paralegal Certificate or Degree in Paralegal Studies required
Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to marketing, advertising claims, and consumer protection across marketing channels (online, broadcast, social media, etc.) a plus
Experience in restaurant or retail industries a plus
Experience with Intellectual Property issues (trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, etc.) or marketing paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department
Ability to be an effective team player and to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume, project intensive environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), legal databases, and other relevant computer system applications

Salary Range: $109,400 to $115,000 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
