Rayburn Correctional Center is seeking a motivated and detailed-orientated Administrative Coordinator 3 to provide administrative support for the facility's Classifications Department. This position plays a vital role in maintaining all newly received inmate classification files, and updating information in the Classifications database when changes are made to the Master Prison Record. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgement, and can excel in a fast pace environment where each day is different.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Works directly with staff from all departments to support daily operations.
Sorts and files material that pertains to the Classifications Department and files in inmate records.
Copies and distributes the Monthly Work Release documents and @types correspondence for Classification Specialists.
Prepares call-outs for the Parole Board and Inmate Welfare.
Records and maintains parole board hearing minutes for the department.
Work Environment:
Employees in a Correctional Center are expected to work closely with inmates as part of their regular duties.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: PROBATION, or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
Compensation:
Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and NOT the amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
