In This Role
You will lead alumni engagement efforts by building strong relationships with graduates, tracking postsecondary outcomes, and creating programming that supports persistence, completion, and career readiness.
The Alumni Coordinator serves as the primary connector between Aug Prep and its growing alumni network of 700+, owning alumni communication, data tracking, and programming to ensure long-term student success beyond graduation.
Alumni Engagement & Support (Year 1 Priority)
Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni, managing ongoing outreach and communication
Conduct regular check-ins via phone, text, email, surveys, and in-person meetings
Provide guidance on college persistence, career pathways, and postsecondary transitions
Connect alumni to resources including scholarships, internships, and workforce opportunities
Conduct targeted college campus visits to engage alumni and assess support systems
Data Management & Reporting (Year 1 Priority)
Maintain accurate alumni data related to enrollment, persistence, completion, and career outcomes
Utilize tools such as National Student Clearinghouse and internal systems to track alumni progress
Analyze trends and identify gaps to inform program improvements
Prepare reports and insights for leadership and internal teams
Programming & Events
Year 1 Focus:
Support and execute core alumni touchpoints including check-ins, small gatherings, and panels
Support key College & Career events such as Senior Portfolios and Decision Day
Serve as the lead for alumni volunteer opportunities across all Aug Prep events
Future Focus (Post-Year 1):
Design and implement a comprehensive Summer Bridge Program
Expand alumni programming including networking events, reunions, and workshops
Build structured alumni mentorship and engagement pipelines
Communication & Network Development
Year 1 Focus:
Maintain consistent alumni communication through direct outreach and basic communication systems
Begin collecting and sharing alumni success stories to be shared in a variety of mediums, both internally and externally
Future Focus (Post-Year 1):
Build a formal alumni communication strategy including newsletters, social media, and storytelling systems
Strengthen and scale alumni network engagement across cohorts
Build a recruitment and engagement system to attract and hire former Alumni
Coordinating and Communicating
Partner with College & Career, Marketing, Development, and school leadership to align alumni efforts
Share insights and recommendations to strengthen programming and student outcomes
Participate in team meetings, 1:1s, and professional development

Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Drive)

Team player with a service mindset
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
