Job Title: 2nd Shift Electromechanical Assembler

MUST HAVE: IPC/WHMA-A-620 (https://www.whma.org/ipcwhma-620/whma-education-certification) Certification (Current OR Expired)

Job Description

As a 2nd Shift Cable Harness Assembler, you will be involved in building mission-critical products that support the world's most advanced aerospace, defense, and space systems.

This hands-on role requires producing complex, high-reliability cable assemblies and wire harnesses, following detailed drawings and instructions to perform tasks such as soldering, crimping, and harness building.

Responsibilities

Build conforming products by following detailed work instructions, blueprints, and production documents.

Perform precision assembly tasks including soldering, crimping, wire termination, and harness routing.

Ensure quality is built into the product by reviewing all documentation, performing self-inspections, and maintaining rigorous labor standards.

Collaborate with Quality Control to present products for in-process inspection and final inspection.

Perform rework on any identified non-conforming products and re-submit for inspection.

Set up and operate various manufacturing equipment and hand tools.

Conduct electro-mechanical and mechanical testing of sub-assemblies and final assemblies, meticulously maintaining all test reports.

Take accountability for safety and quality by upholding all company standards, rules, and regulations.

Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Able to stand for 70% of the shift.

Essential Skills

Current or expired IPC620 Certification, Class III preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must meet ITAR regulations due to military and defense @type of work performed in facility.

2+ years of experience in complex cable harness assembly in an aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Soldering experience required; certification to J-STD-001 is a significant advantage.

Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, strippers, and soldering irons.

Ability to meet and maintain workmanship standards (IPC620, IPC-A-610).

Good English communication skills (reading and writing) to successfully complete training and follow highly regulated work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

IPC620 certified or expired certification is a must.

Ability to pass the test at Winchester if the certification is expired.

Work in a climate-controlled environment (air-conditioned) within a clean facility that manufactures high-performance cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and interconnect systems designed to function reliably under harsh conditions. Most products are used for aerospace or defense applications, including SpaceX rockets and armored military vehicles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Garden Grove, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
