Job Description

We are looking to bring on a Junior Electrical Engineer to join the team in Springfield immediately. This is supporting a large natural gas company in the DMV area. This position will be ON SITE for the first 6 months to a year, with the ability to go hybrid at the managers discretion.

Responsibilities:

Supports design engineering and project management for small to medium scale capital projects and operations & maintenance (O&M) support at storage, production, gate station, and transmission system facilities with focus on electrical equipment and systems

Performs or assists with formal electrical system and equipment testing and analysis including electrical load studies.

Works cross functionally with other teams to manage projects once design is approved and construction begins

Projects will include instrumentation and light mechanical work for these facilities/storage plants/gate stations

Assist with troubleshooting issues with electrical systems

Skills and Requirements

0-2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering related field

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - NOT FLEXIBLE

Preference for coursework in power systems, power generation, equipment and machinery etc.

DRIVEN - go getter mentality

Strong communication skills Interest in working for a utility

Experience with utilities and gas operations
