Process routine leave requests, communicate eligibility and status updates to employees and supervisors, and track utilization
Serve as a primary point of contact for leave-related inquiries, escalating any complex issues to senior staff
Provide clear guidance to employees on leave policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements
Workers' Compensation
Coordinate non-complex workers' compensation claims from initial report through return-to-work
Serve as a liaison between injured employees, supervisors, the Town's TPA, and medical providers
Track claim status, manage documentation, and monitor modified duty assignments
Support compliance with Arizona workers' compensation statutes, including requirements to be self-funded
PSPRS Local Board Secretary
Prepare and process disability retirement and DROP applications for public safety employees
Facilitate monthly board meetings, including creating and posting agendas and minutes
Coordinate with the Board, legal counsel, and PSPRS state office
Communicate legislative changes to the Board and Team Gilbert
Collaboration & Systems
Partner with People Team members across benefits, HR, and talent to ensure a comprehensive approach to employee programs
Leverage HRIS and technology tools to streamline and automate leave and WC processes
About You
You're building your expertise in leave and workers' compensation and are eager to grow in a structured, supportive environment. You handle day-to-day leave and WC processing with care and accuracy, and you know when to escalate - bringing complex or sensitive cases to senior staff with the right @context so they can be resolved well. What drives you is making sure every employee feels supported and informed at every step.
