SCHEDULE: Full-time ; Monday through Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm, average of 40 hours/week with overtime as needed.

SCOPE:

The Commercial Loan Documentation Processor is responsible for organizing, researching, and facilitating commercial loan transactions according to the Bank's preferences and approved criteria to ensure proper lien completion and compliance. This role requires precision and the ability to multi-task to meet shifting deadlines and to ensure accuracy of loan documents. The Commercial Loan Documentation Processor works alongside others in the Bank to ensure that service standards are met.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Loan Documentation Support and Production:

Responsible for accurate build and set up of loan applications in the loan origination software, ensuring accurate and complete entry of entity, collateral and loan terms.

Regularly corresponds with customers to obtain information regarding entity set up, company and customer information, financial documentation and compliance documentation.

Orders and interprets supplemental vendor due diligence information to ensure borrower, collateral and guarantor requirements are met to support production of appropriate loan documentation in compliance with all terms of the loan request (title work, UCC search, appraisal, flood determination and insurance).

Initiates, collects and verifies information related to real estate closings, working with third parties to ensure all information is represented accurately. Proactively works with closing agents to obtain all necessary closing requirements prior to close.

Coordinates with Loan Officers and Administrative Assistants, compiling all necessary paperwork to ensure timely creation of loan documentation.

Ensures adherence to the Bank's risk tolerance and escalates issues, involving in-house counsel and upper management in complex loan files.

Maintains knowledge of current loan documentation guidelines for agricultural, business and real estate loans to perfect the bank's lien.

Manages workload by monitoring newly received loans as well as tracking work in process.

Demonstrates and appropriately applies a working knowledge of diverse commercial loan documentation, legal and regulatory requirements (including unique state regulations), policies and procedures, and applies that knowledge to their own work as well as acting as a support to others.

Minimizes risk to the bank through a solid understanding of procedural requirements, providing guidance and oversight through the quality control function of non-real estate loans produced by peers.

Obtains and understands all funding information and creates and/or reviews the settlement statement providing direction for the disbursement of loan proceeds.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.

Provides backup for Commercial Loan Documentation Closer role.

Other:

As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a high school degree or equivalent.

Experience in Commercial Banking or at a Community Bank preferred

This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communication skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
