CPI Composite Structures is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AS9100 QC Inspector to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be directly involved in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards, helping us connect with a wide variety of customers around the world. CPI Composite Structures is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shipper/Receiver to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be directly involved in ensuring our products are prepared for shipping to our customers using the highest quality standards, as well as receive and process incoming material. This position is on site at our Hudson Manufacturing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an AS9100 QC Inspector, you will work closely with other inspectors and QA engineers to perform a variety of quality control functions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Providing detailed in-process, final, and AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI) on electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Performing receiving inspections to ensure documentation and products meet drawing and purchase order requirements.
Witnessing the torquing of hardware.
Documenting production non-conformances and communicating quality-related issues to help resolve them.
Identifying, documenting, and resolving production and test anomalies.
Conducting job audits, process audits, and internal audits.
Supporting quality management system policies and procedures.
Assessing compliance with company and industry standards.
Initiating and leading continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Salary: $25+ per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
3-5 years of experience as a QC/QA inspector in the military or aerospace industries.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards.
Knowledge of standard aerospace industry requirements.
Proficient in using precision hand tools, including calipers, scales, tape measures, micrometers, and pin gauges.
Experience with backlighting, functional testing, and Nondestructive Inspection (NDI).
Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and ERP systems for general shop tracking and contract visibility.
Must be able to work unassisted and stand for extended periods (8 hours minimum).
Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
Knowledge of AS9100 FAA terms, including experience as a DIMR (Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative) or a representative with delegated 8130 source inspection authority is highly desired
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
