Responsibilities The Specialty Portfolio Banker is responsible for retention of clients and portfolio management for certain relationships of the Specialty Banking Government & Nonprofit team. The Specialty Portfolio Banker works closely with assigned Relationship Managers to support portfolio balance and new loan production goals. As the key ongoing relationship contact for clients, the Specialty Portfolio Banker also deepens relationships by cross selling bank products within and outside of the commercial line of business. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $77,900 - $199,000 per year plus bonus. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Key Accountabilities Relationship Management Manages a portfolio of Specialty Banking Government & Nonprofit clients, serving as a key ongoing relationship contact for those clients. Supports the assigned relationship managers by helping with and participating in joint sales calls to portfolio clients. Collaborates with assigned relationship managers to achieve stated goals for: loan and deposit growth, fees, portfolio balance and delinquencies. Cross-sells bank products within and outside of the commercial line of business through effective client relationship management. Works with internal bank partners to solve portfolio clients' day-to-day needs related to loans, treasury management, investment management, and other bank products and services. Loan Management Interacts with portfolio clients to obtain required credit information for loan renewals, modifications, and/or new credit facilities. Structures loan terms with input from assigned relationship manager; ensures loan structures adhere to credit policies and operating guidelines required by the Bank and Government & Nonprofit team. Interacts with Underwriters and Credit Officers to obtain prescreen and final credit approval. Works with clients, outside counsel, and internal loan processing teams to document and close loan transactions for portfolio clients. Portfolio Management Monitors loan and ACH limit maturity dates for assigned portfolio. Works with Underwriting partners to ensure required financial reporting information is collected in compliance with credit agreement terms. Monitors ongoing financial performance of portfolio clients to ensure maintenance of credit quality, address any decline in credit profile in an appropriate timeframe and maintain acceptable payment delinquency. Macro-Level Team Projects Assists the Government & Nonprofit team with projects that encourage client retention and growth. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or High School diploma/GED with relevant experience Minimum 5 years of Government & Nonprofit underwriting experience, preferred Exposure to working on deals ranging from $1MM - $30MM+ with the ability to support specialized complex loans. Must have industry experience within Government & Nonprofit (Healthcare, Private High Schools & Universities, Social Assistance Organizations, Other Civic related Organizations) with exposure to Corporate Banking deals Thorough knowledge of accounting and legal principles underlying the bank's documents.
