Driver/Maintenance Person

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Driver/Warehouse Drive vehicle and pick up daily food and transport it to the Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin Veteran Marketplace Assisting with unloading and shelving food as needed Work with the Marketplace Director and manager to organize a pick up plan that includes driving to and picking up food at multiple locations every morning Create and coordinate a food pick up schedule working with volunteers as needed Support occasional afternoon (very rarely night pickups) food pick up\'s Implement best practices around food safety and transport Record temperatures of food at pick up and drop off to ensure food safety Communicate/interact with stores and vendors to confirm the pick up of food and supplies and maintain goodwill Lift boxes, load and unload from vehicle Operate a sit down forklift to move pallets of food on and off transportation Be available to pick up food during the week and on weekends as needed Safely operate a motor vehicle; following both traffic laws and Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin policies Maintenance: Inspections: Regularly inspect buildings, systems, and equipment for potential issues Troubleshooting: Identify issues and determine the necessary repairs Repairs: Perform general repairs, such as fixing drywall, painting, and repairing doors Maintenance: Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance, changing filters, cutting grass, shoveling and salting. Cleaning: Clean facilities and equipment, such as dusting and mopping Supplies: Make sure there are the necessary supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance Record keeping: Maintain a record of maintenance and repair tasks Safety: Follow safety rules and conduct regular safety inspections Communication: Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion, and report any issues to management Other duties as assigned. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Job Qualifications Proven experience as a driver, preferably with large vehicles Clean driving record 21 years or older Ability to safely operate a cargo van and box truck (up to 26ft) Ability to work on Saturdays and holidays Easily read and follow route maps Must be able to carry 50 lbs, bend, and stack goods Current Wisconsin driver\'s license (no CDL required) A polite and professional disposition Ability to pass a background check ** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: dkruse@vowvillages.com Call For Appointment: (262) 800-1312
