Description: You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for final assembly integration at Lufkin Production Operations supporting weekend shift. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes and systems to support the production of high-quality products. The engineer will support and interact with multiple teams and functions that include Production Operators/Supervisors and Manufacturing, Quality, and Industrial Engineers; and will be required to regularly interface with a broader team of Program Management and Design Engineering functions as needed.

What You Will Be Doing

As final integration engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to shop floor personnel, developing and improving manufacturing processes and work instructions, and analyzing and resolving hardware trends. You will also be responsible for recommending and implementing engineering design changes, training new manufacturing engineers, and supporting area-wide process improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing mentorship, guidance and technical expertise to junior MEs.

Providing tactical direction to execute critical long term projects.

Executing or coordinating complex Root Cause Investigations and Corrective Actions.

Providing technical support to shop floor personnel.

Help facilitate data reviews to drive HPU and DPU reduction efforts.

Developing and managing manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions.

Implementing engineering design changes.

Supporting area-wide process improvement initiatives.

Integrating new assets and technologies.

This position may require up to 10% overtime annually in support of program execution.

The weekend shift includes a premium pay.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be US Citizen.

Experience in written and verbal communication to technical and non-technical audiences

Experience in supporting or leading teams of multiple functions.

Experience in manufacturing environment.

Desired Skills:

2 years of Professional Experience.

Green belt training or certification.

Experience in solving complex problems.

Experience of implementing changes for continuous improvement.

Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or J-STD-001 specifications or equivalent.

Experience with SAP and MPMLink/Windchill.

Experience with facility integration and progressive lines.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
