Summary You will serve as an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR in the COMMANDING OFFICER of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER. Responsibilities You will task the cognizant major organizational elements to develop positions relative to the impact of proposed changes on manpower, material, and resources required for accommodation within their respective program area. You will review the various inputs to assure responsiveness, soundness of technical approach, and adequacy in term of need and established policy. You will coordinate the assembly and presentation of the finished product to the Commanding Officer for consideration. You will convene regular meetings with management personnel for the purpose of ascertaining and discussing status of work in progress and plans for induction of new tasks. You will review financial, material, and workload reports to inquire of and provide assurance for tasks and programs, which may be in trouble. You will task and coordinate command resources in identifying the source and nature of problem areas and developing fully staffed corrective recommendations for presentation to the Commanding Officer. You will execute complex, politically sensitive and difficult policy changes, directives, and investigations required for managing the organization Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector exercising strategic thinking to formulate policy and solve complex problems; applying financial management principles to justify and administer a substantial program budget; and directing human capital management programs for a large civilian workforce. ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher. ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location. A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
