Position:Logistician Quality Assurance

Nature of Role:

MIKEL is currently seeking a Logistics Quality Assurance professional to support our dynamic, high exposure SANS Team.

The Logistician performs activities that include purchasing, transportation, inventory, inspection and administrative support. They develop, document, and audit procedures and quality management records.

Their duties include tracking material procurement, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, collaborating with transportation systems to ensure prompt shipment pick-ups and assisting with managerial administrative duties. The Logistician must be well organized, with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

include but are not limited to:

Facilitate communication between engineering, vendors and procurement to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.

Prepare, route and manage purchase requisitions through receipt and delivery.

Develop business relationships with suppliers, track key performance indicators (KPIs), manage claims data, and evaluate supplier/carrier performance.

Provide availability/compatibility investigation in support of material requirements and submit procurements accordingly.

Receiving/stowing material, issuing material from stock, conducting inventories.

Inspect goods for damage, verify inventory accuracy, and monitor packing/loading processes.

Maintain quality systems (e.g. Control of Nonconforming Material, CAPA procedures, etc)

Respond to vendor inquiries.

Direct the allocation of materials, supplies, and products.

Make shipping arrangements and coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.

Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized

Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.

Reconcile expense reports as needed.

Handle multiple projects.

Develop and maintain support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance.

Conduct audits to ensure adherence to standards (e.g., ISO, safety regulations).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, or quality management

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors

Proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis in Excel

Good oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational and planning skills

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

The ability to lift 25 pounds regularly

Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher is required at time of hire.
