Sheeter Operator

The Opportunity

As a Sheeter Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the sheeter to ensure accurate sheet sizes and consistent production output. You will prepare rolls, verify sheet quality, support material movement, and assist with equipment upkeep. This role is essential to keeping pressroom operations supplied with properly prepared materials while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRock

Set the roll stand and prepare rolls for processing.

Program sheet size and verify sheet dimensions and squareness.

Use a clamp truck to pull and stage rolls.

Prepare loads for the pressroom.

Repair and maintain sheeter equipment as needed.

Empty the compactor and assist with bailer operations.

Support the receiving department by unloading trucks when needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform other job duties as assigned to support production and material flow.

What You Need to Succeed

Two to three years of sheeter operating experience.

Ability to read, write, and speak simple English sentences.

Basic math skills and ability to read tape measures accurately.

Reliable attendance and ability to meet scheduling demands.

Ability to pass a basic reading test and ruler test.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or ability to pass a mechanical test.

Willingness to work overtime, including during busy production periods.

Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
