Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Roseland, New Jersey. This is a Contract position that offers a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in accounting processes, data management, and financial analysis. The role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform accurate data entry of financial information into accounting systems.

Make collection calls to ensure timely payments and resolve outstanding balances.

Gather and verify bank and credit card information for reconciliation purposes.

Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.

Prepare reports based on collected financial data for management review.

Maintain organized records and documentation to support audits and financial reviews. Requirements - Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Understanding of bank and account reconciliation practices.

Proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.

Strong communication skills for collection calls and team collaboration.

Ability to work onsite during standard business hours (10 AM to 6 PM).

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Previous accounting or finance experience is a plus.
