The HR Operations Manager is the strategic and operational HR leader for the manufacturing site, partnering with plant leadership to build organizational capability, strengthen culture, and drive results. This role leads labor and employee relations, ensures compliance, drives safety and risk reduction, oversees workforce planning, develops leaders, and promotes high standards of performance and accountability.

Business Acumen
Partners with plant leadership to understand production flow, KPIs, cost drivers, and workforce requirements. Integrate HR strategy with operational priorities to improve safety, productivity, quality, and engagement.
Provides insights and recommendations that empower leaders and support strong business decision making.
Labor & Employee Relations
Serves as the primary advisor for complex labor and employee relations matters, modeling fairness, and integrity. Build relationships through consistent visibility, clear communication, and reliable follow-up.
Equips leaders with tools that empower them to resolve issues early and reinforce an inclusive, respectful workplace. Support union or nonunion environments by promoting transparent, collaborative relationships.
Compliance
Ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies. Oversee investigations, corrective action processes, and compliance-driven documentation.
Guides leaders in making compliant, consistent decisions grounded in Saint-Gobain Values and TEC expectations.
Safety & Risk Management
Partners closely with EHS to reinforce a strong safety culture and reduce workplace risks.
Supports incident reviews, safety communications, and proactive risk reduction strategies.
Ensures HR processes --including onboarding, training, and policy enforcement --reinforce safe behaviors and regulatory adherence.
Talent Acquisition
Leads workforce planning aligned to site strategy, anticipating staffing needs and skill gaps. Oversee recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried positions, ensuring a positive and equitable candidate experience.
Strengthens onboarding effectiveness so new hires feel welcomed, empowered, and connected to our culture from day one. Develop retention strategies that support stable, engaged shifts, and reduce turnover.
Leadership
Actively participates in Gemba walks at manufacturing sites to observe operations, engage with employees, and gathers insights on workplace culture and employee needs, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a collaborative environment.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives by participating in training sessions, facilitating employee engagement, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and workforce development.
Coaches supervisors and managers on leadership effectiveness, conflict resolution, communication, and employee development.
Strengthens leadership capability by embedding TEC expectations into daily interactions and decision making.
Facilitates leadership training that drives empowerment, accountability, and high-performance behavior. Influence decisions through data, relationship building, and strong business partnerships.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree preferred emphasis in Human Resources.-
5+ Years of progressive HR experience
5+ Years of supervisory Experience 5+ Years supporting manufacturing or industrial operations preferred-
Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and organizational development. Proven experience coaching leaders, driving workforce strategies, and influencing organizational culture.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building, and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical capability with a data driven approach to decisions. - --
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and organizational development.
Proven experience coaching leaders, driving workforce strategies, and influencing organizational culture. - -
