Precipart. located in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking a motivatedAccounts Receivable Specialistto join our team and support the financial operations that keep our precision manufacturing business running smoothly. In this role, you will ensure accurate payment processing, maintain the integrity of customer accounts, and help drive strong cash flow that supports the production of high-quality components for critical industries. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve discrepancies, manage collections, and support financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, accountability, and teamwork are essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Post customer's payments by recording checks, wires, ACH and credit card transactions

Deposit customer's checks via check scan

Monitor customer's accounts daily to ensure timely payment is received and in line with our sales terms

Initiate collection efforts on past-due accounts and follow up to ensure timely resolution.

Investigate and resolve customer accounts discrepancies by obtaining and information from Sales, Customer Service, and customers.

Reconcile customer accounts and research unapplied cash to ensure accurate account balances.

Resolves valid or authorized deductions and addresses invalid or unauthorized deductions by following deduction procedure.

Prepare receivables summaries and aging analysis reports

Manage customer returns to ensure timely credits and supplier debits Respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts

Invoice customers through our ERP system and upload invoices via customer portals

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable, including reporting and reconciliations.

Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Support/backup Accounts Payable Specialist as needed

Responsible for conforming with the company's quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

3+ years related accounts receivable experience

Working knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies

Experience with collections, credit management, or deduction resolution preferred.

Ability to analyze aging reports and identify trends impacting cash flow.

Experience working within an ERP system

Proficient Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis using Excel and Word

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks

Demonstrates professionalism and discretion when handling confidential financial information.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, verbally and written, effectively with team members and cross-functionally

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with ERP Infor LN or similar ERP system

PAY RANGE $27.00 to $30.00 an hour
