Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Purcellville, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position that requires a strong ability to manage accounts payable processes, perform reconciliations, and support month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the confidence to collaborate effectively with project managers and vendors.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices with precision and efficiency.

Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy across financial records.

Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries.

Manage credit card charges and oversee expense reporting uploads.

Utilize software tools such as Ramp and Foundation to streamline accounting tasks.

Interact confidently with project managers and vendors to resolve discrepancies.

Prepare and generate detailed financial reports as needed.

Monitor equipment usage and ensure proper documentation in company files.

Support automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and credit card deposits. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable roles.

Proficiency in accounts payable processes and billing functions.

Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and month-end close procedures.

Familiarity with expense management software, particularly Ramp and Foundation.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively and assertively with team members and external vendors.

Experience with ACH transactions and credit card charge management.

Capability to work both remotely and in-office as needed.
