What You'll Do

As a valued member of our WIC team, you will:

Provide one-on-one emotional support to mothers and their significant others

Offer practical guidance on normal breastfeeding and what to expect

Provide anticipatory support to help prevent common challenges

Advocate for breastfeeding within the community

Support families with cultural sensitivity and awareness

Participate in WIC Breastfeeding Support Groups

Your lived experience and encouragement can make all the difference!

What We're Looking For:

Must be a current or former WIC participant

Must have breastfeeding experience

High School Diploma or GED

1 - 3 years of experience working with diverse populations

Willingness to complete the Peer Counselor Training Program (we provide training)

A collaborative, community-focused mindset

What We Offer

Flexible per diem schedule: 5-10 hours per week
