Summary You will serve as a DEPUTY PUBLIC WORKS OFFICER in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. Responsibilities You will be responsible for oversight, review, coordination and execution of facilities management, planning, engineering, construction, base operation support, and environmental products and services. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of difficulty and requirements of the assignments and capability of the employee. You will provide oversight on all Division and Branch Heads to ensure that all work proceeds according to established CNIC business rules and guidelines. You will manage all human resource efforts within the Public Works Department. You will be responsible planning, prioritizing, preparing, executing, tracking and implementing the control and distribution of sustainment, maintenance and repair, facility service, utilities and transportation funding. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing all business aspects including budgets, human resources, business rules, regulatory requirements, labor relations and administrative requirements; 2) Monitoring the implementation of programs and decisions to maintain and improve effective organizational management; 3) Developing creative, technically sound solutions to problems not remedied by standard, pre-defined processes; 4) Advising senior military staff on best course(s) of action for optimal delivery of all products and services; and 5) Managing a broad range of facilities services using military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relations.
