Junior Bridge Engineer New YorkRegular, Full timeHybrid Do you want to Shape a future where people and societies grow and flourish We are seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects.And we are thrilled to have contributed to projects like the Fargo-Moorhead Flood Diversion in Fargo, ND, the Potomac River Crossing in Washington, DC, and the Van Sinderen Avenue Streetscape Improvements in Brooklyn, NY.Your key responsibilities will be to: Prepare designs and analysis calculations and reports for various @types of bridges and other transportation related structures. Prepare and run models, analyse and evaluate results using engineering software Prepare specifications and engineer's estimates. Solve engineering problems and challenges as a team member working with other disciplines and professionals. Perform site visits and inspections and prepare photos, notes, and/or reports as required. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.On top of that, you will: Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or higher with concentration in structures 0 to 4 years of work experience in Structural Engineering Either have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or be willing to take and pass FE within 1 year after hiring. Actively participate in professional associations and be able and willing to learn Have strong attention to detail along with reasoning and decision-making skills Possess good analytical, planning and organizational skills combined with the ability to multi-task Be familiar with various structural analysis software programs * Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) A place to work and so much more At COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world.
