Competitive hourly rate (with overtime possible)

Housing (located near the jobsite)

Daily per diem for food

Initial mileage for trip to and from jobsite covered by ARCO (ARCO does not provide a vehicle or stipend)

Internship hours count towards our ESOP eligibility

End-of-term performance bonus based on merit

Path to full time position

Sign-on bonus for each term served if hired as a full-time associate following graduation

A DAY IN THE LIFE

We are looking for a highly motivated College Superintendent Intern, who is passionate about the construction process and wants to learn onsite. At ARCO, an Intern has the opportunity to assist Superintendents with the following:

Work on Jobsites and get hands on experience from our expert field personnel on projects in a variety of industries including, commercial, industrial, distribution, office, multi-family, entertainment and more

Learn various skills from the Superintendent on the job including creating schedules, talking to subcontractors, running a project smoothly from start to finish and working with the Superintendent on the jobsite

You will make a meaningful contribution to ARCO's success, performing critical tasks in every stage of the project life cycle

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related degree programs

Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0

Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required

Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic

Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
