JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Title: Additive Manufacturing (AM) Technician Pay Range: \$21.00-\$29.00/hour | Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday | Type: Onsite See What We Do: https://youtu.be/kvuAbB4969E?si=MCg_01gD0C0BCG6- POSITION OVERVIEW The Additive Manufacturing Technician supports daily production across multiple 3D printing technologies. This hands-on role prepares machines for production, performs post-processing and inspections, and helps maintain consistent throughput and quality. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level or early-career candidates to build practical experience in a growing additive manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operate additive manufacturing equipment (SLA/DLP, SLS/MJF, FDM) Prepare machines for production, including startups, calibrations, and material changes Read and interpret prints, specifications, and 3D files Conduct visual inspections to ensure parts meet specifications Track production activity using ERP system Perform post-processing and finishing of printed parts and support routine machine cleaning and preventative maintenance Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to meet schedules REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Engineering, Model Making, or related field preferred 1+ year additive manufacturing experience preferred; ENTRY-LEVEL CANDIDATES WELCOME Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, basic print reading, familiarity with 3D printing processes and tools BENEFITS Career advancement opportunities Flexible scheduling Competitive pay Paid Time Off starting at 80 hours with annual increases 9 paid holidays annually Education reimbursement program Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Company-paid life and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) with company match WORK AUTHORIZATION Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements - Prototek maintains International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant operations in United States based facilities.
