Operate POS system, handle transactions, and manage returns or exchanges.
Maintain organized, well stocked sales floor.
Assist with inventory counts and restocking.
Assist customers with selecting products.
Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.
Comfort working in fast-paced retail environment.
You must be a team player; you are living and working in a close quarter bunk house style facility.
Follow all safety rules.
We need great attitude and great attendance.
This is not summer camp! You will be scheduled to work 8-10 hours per day, seven days per week from April-August.
AK overtime rules apply. (1.5 times regular rate for over 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day.)
Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)
High school diploma or equivalent.
6-12 months POS experience
Preferred education and experience
1-2 years previous experience working in fast paced retail setting.
Has worked and lived in remote bunk house or fish/hunt camp.
Work environment:Retail store, warehouse, bunk house. Noise level is moderate.
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift/move objects up to ten pounds, frequently up to twenty-five pounds, occasionally up to fifty pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
