Base Pay Range: $22.21- $30.54

Position Summary
We're looking for a Mechanical & Manufacturing Technician I to join our Operations team supporting our Lighting/Safety/Wireless Business Units, with a primary focus on mechanical design, assembly/documentation of test, and assembly fixtures. This individual is responsible for supporting all facets of the design of fixtures specifically focused around updating test
systems to the latest standards and technology, driving cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency, and scalable process improvements across new and existing products. In this role, you'll work closely with the manufacturing and test team to support design-for-manufacturing efforts, improve yields, and implement sustainable manufacturing solutions in a collaborative environment that values ownership and continuous improvement. You'll have a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on Banner's operational performance and long-term growth. This position reports to an Engineering Manager I.

What you'll Be Doing
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working individually/collaboratively, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Test and Manufacturing Engineering to find solutions.
Create 3D models/assemblies as needed to manufacture parts and create drawings/documentation.
Support Operations from conception through product update and engineering change orders.
Use workflow toolsets and PTC Creo to specify and provide assembly fixtures and automation.
Work with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers to analyze existing production lines, find bottlenecks and waste, and design better tools to improve workflows and methods.
Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to manage projects independently.
Support research and help identify new production technologies to support cost and quality initiatives in the assembly plants.

Required
Minimum of an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related technical field with relevant experience is required.
Proficiency in PTC ProE, Creo, or other similar solid modeling tools.
Understanding design, developing, and validating manufacturing fixtures to improve efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
Ability to solve problems by working directly with Engineering and plant personnel and their hardware/software solutions.
Must have good analytical skills and attention to detail with a strong ability to learn.
Preferred
Familiarity with part machining, electronics, 3D printing and misc. mechanical tools.
Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
Experience working with diverse teams.
