What You Will Do:
The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center-North (HSMC-N) ME Org is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the production of commercial and military hardware in our Combustors and Nickel Fabrication business unit. This role will support sheet metal fabrication process (i.e. forming, 2D laser cutting & stamping, 5x laser cutting and drilling, plasma spray coating) & product responsibility/ownership.
Responsibilities:
Part ownership of in-production Combustors part family, providing direct support to the manufacturing shop floor and driving manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps spanning the full value stream of parts. Processes include forming, stamping, laser cutting, welding, riveted assembly, coatings, etc.
Serve as process & product owner for Plasma spray coating work in the department, including robot programming (preferred ABB or Fanuc).
Support & perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities, identifying and implementing process optimization and control methods to improve First Pass Yield (FPY).
Build and maintain shop floor work instructions, including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.
Collaborate extensively with hourly workforce, tool designers, quality assurance, Integrated Product Teams, systems designers, Information Systems, & program assembly partners.
Provide focused and effective leadership in eliminating Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)/Ergonomics/Human Factor risks and addressing quality issues
Qualifications You Must Have:
Applicable University Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing)
A bachelor's degree & minimum 15+ years prior relevant experience, or
A master's degree & minimum 8+ years prior relevant experience
Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects in aerospace industry
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient and ability to influence cross functional team
Excellent knowledge of MS office suit, NX, Minitab or/and other statistical software.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics a plus.
US Citizenship required due to government contracts
Qualifications We Prefer:
Extensive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processing of aerospace grade superalloys i.e. Titanium, Inconel, Haynes, Waspaloy, etc.
Proficient in Plasma spray process - robot programming, tooling, surface treatment, masking, etc.
Experience with 2D and 5x laser programming and ability to work with post processor
Experience with fixturing and tool design for sheet metal fabrication processes.
Proficiency in working with Pratt and Whitney specification and procedures
Proficient in using SAP, Solumina G7, Teamcenter, NX
CORE/ 6 Sigma Practitioner/Professional certification
Strong understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
