Adecco is assisting a client in South Plainfield, NJ in their search for an Industrial Electrician Technician . This is a full-time opportunity with a starting pay of $36 per hour. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed.

The Industrial Electrician Technician supports production operations by performing preventative electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, and maintaining facility systems. This role ensures all equipment remains in proper working order while adhering to safety regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Analyze equipment issues and perform repairs on production machinery; assist with servicing more complex equipment.

Repair and maintain electrical wiring, electronic components, and electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC-controlled systems.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as well as emergency repairs during production shifts.

Install, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment.

Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to diagnose equipment issues.

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs, including proper lockout/tagout procedures and PPE use.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Support production by responding quickly to equipment downtime.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance, with flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.

Minimum 3 years of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, control panels, hydraulics, and mechanical components.

Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Knowledge of electrical controls and industrial equipment troubleshooting.

Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements.

Experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Licensed electrician preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

Frequent communication with team members and supervisors.

Standing and walking for most of the shift.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment.

Ability to reach, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl when working on equipment.

Frequent repetitive hand and wrist movements.

Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.

Requires constant focus, attention to detail, and problem-solving.

Work Environment

Manufacturing facility with operating machinery.

Exposure to airborne particles, loud noise, and varying temperatures.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $45.00 per hour
