Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Assemblers or Machine Operators to join our team. This position involves the assembly of wire harnesses used in a variety of industries, including automotive and lawn equipment. As an Assembler, you will work with precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality production. As a Machine Operator, you be responsible for setting up and operating Komax Wire Cutting Machines and Termination Machines across various shifts. Assembler Responsibilities
Route and tie wires to form wire harnesses used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems.
Read instructions such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
Select wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loop wires between guide pegs on harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on board or diagram.
Wrap and tie wires together at designated points to form harnesses, manually or using a tie-wrap gun.
Apply sealing liquid to secure knots in ties, using a brush.
Attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strips using a soldering iron or crimping device.
Insert cable in plastic tubing or inject plastic sealant around terminals to protect cable from dust and moisture.
Test wiring continuity using a continuity tester.
Mark identifying data on completed harnesses.
Cut, strip, terminate, block, and splice wires as required.
Follow diagrams and work instructions for accurate assembly.
Use calipers, scales, and rulers for measurements.
Perform basic math calculations.
Operate crimping machines and use hand tools.
Ensure quality assurance by checking work thoroughly.
Work may be assigned in either the Wire Cutting or Assembly department based on experience and skill set.
Machine Operator Responsibilities
Set up Komax Wire Cutting Machines and Termination Machines for daily operations.
Perform multiple set-ups a day based on the number of jobs being run.
Select wires from the warehouse based on work instructions and orders.
Run required batches of wire to complete work orders.
Utilize measuring tools such as rulers, micrometers, and calipers for precision.
Conduct visual quality inspections after batches are run to ensure readiness for the quality department.
Lightly troubleshoot machines when issues arise, calling the maintenance department for severe problems.
Perform additional production tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience in assembly of wire harnesses.
Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
Basic math skills including reading a ruler.
Experience with hand tools.
Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in wire harness, wire crimping, wire cutting, and harness assembly.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
