Summary You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of Naval Support Activity Maine Responsibilities You will respond to all hazardous disasters. You will provide information and assistance services for emergency management matters and keep everyone informed on all aspects of the program. You will provide training support for the installation by identifying , developing and or coordinating emergency management requirements and curriculum. You will perform routine checks to ensure communication equipment is operational and can communicate with all required receivers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive emergency management program for the installation and all tenant activities; (2) Plan, monitor and respond to natural and man-made disasters such as destructive weather and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high yield explosive (CBRNE) incidents; (3) Provide Emergency Management information, advice, and assistance to the installation Commanding Officer on emergency management matters; (4) Operate the Emergency Operation Center (EOC); (5) Review and draft emergency management directives, publications, regulations, and correspondence in order to take appropriate initial and follow-on action to identify, abate, and correct deficiencies; (6) Participates in management and coordination of the installation Emergency Management Working Group.
