Description

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team on a short-term contract basis in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role involves managing essential accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial activities, and providing support to maintain organized workflows. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Accounts Payable and have experience with Sage Intacct to contribute effectively to our operations.

Responsibilities:

Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable processes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Prepare and distribute AP and grant-related checks efficiently and accurately.

Review, code, and monitor invoices to ensure proper alignment with grants and funding sources.

Maintain detailed and organized accounting records to support seamless financial workflows.

Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accuracy and consistency during the contract coverage period.

Requirements - Proficiency in Sage Intacct, with prior hands-on experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, including grant or fund tracking.

Demonstrated ability to handle large volumes of invoices with exceptional attention to detail.

Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
