Description
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Market Administration who will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for four critical areas within Market Operations: Financial Transmission Rights (FTR), Seams Administration, Forward Market Solutions (FMS), and Day-Ahead Market Operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring these functions operate efficiently, remain aligned with organizational strategy, and meet all regulatory and market requirements. The Director will also foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while working across teams and stakeholders to support reliable and effective market outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute long-term operational strategies aligned with corporate goals and industry trends.
Change Management: Lead transformational initiatives to modernize grid systems, optimize performance, and enhance system resilience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to influence outcomes and foster alignment.
Operational Excellence: Establishes scalable processes and clear operational frameworks that bring structure to complex and evolving work, using data, dashboards, and technology to drive informed decisions while embedding strong process discipline, continuous improvement, and built-in compliance to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across the function.
Organizational Development: Build and mentor high-performing teams, cultivating leadership capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and community outreach to advocate for operational priorities.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $196,000-$221,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

Experience
Required
Experience working in Electric Grid Operations is required, with experience in Electric Grid Market Operations.
Leadership or management experience.
Previous experience in the energy industry is required, ideally with exposure to power system or market operations.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support stakeholder engagement and organizational priorities.
