Registered Nurse - Williamsburg, Virginia

Outpatient | Gastroenterology

Job Description

What You'll Do

Provide pre procedure and post procedure nursing care for GI patients

Perform patient assessments, obtain vital, review medications, allergies, and histories.

Prepare, stock, clean, and close procedure and exam rooms daily

Assist physicians during procedures, minor surgeries, and diagnostic exams

Administer medications, vaccinations, and moderate sedation as directed

Review lab results and communicate finding to patients when appropriate

Document all patient care accurately in the EHR.

Support patient education, discharge instructions, and coordination with families

Perform additional duties as needed to support clinic operations.

What You Bring

Understanding of basic nursing principles, protocols, and patient care standards.

Knowledge of infection control, environmental safety, and confidentiality practices

Familiarity with diagnostic and treatment room procedures.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong communication, organization, and patient interaction skills.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent

Six to twelve months of related clinical experience preferred

Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia

Current CPR certification

Work Environment / Schedule

Outpatient setting; Day shift schedule; Monday to Friday only.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $43.26/hr.
