Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will serve as an Administrative Officer in the Space Division of NRL. Responsibilities You will act as the focal point for administrative projects-related issues, determining resource requirements such space allocations, salary needs, and procurement. You will manage and coordinate the Division's performance appraisal program. You will recommend administrative and management goals and objectives. You will allocate funds, establish job orders, and amend budgets. You will manage a staff operating in the procurement, budget, personnel and clerical fields. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05/10) or pay band (NO-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties:1) Developing, managing and applying policies and procedures related to budget and accounting in a revolving fund environment; 2) Performing studies and analyses of administrative policies and procedures; 3) Managing procurements, contracting, and equipment control procedures for a division; 4) Evaluating financial management policies and procedures; 5) Analyzing and overseeing daily office workflow to ensure completion and/or proper routing and tracking; and 6) Communicating orally and in writing to effectively carry out integrated advisory and program work. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related; or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
