DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Commonwealth regulations related to the installation and operation of electrical equipment in and around underground bituminous coal mines. Your duties will include reviewing and approving all electrical applications for various equipment utilized in Pennsylvania coal mines, such as substations, mine ventilation fans, elevators, slope hoists, switchhouses, power centers, distribution boxes, personnel carriers, pumps, conveyor belt systems, continuous miners, shuttle cars, scoops, longwall mining systems, and communication and tracking systems, among others.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in New Stanton. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years as an Electrical Engineer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
One year as an Electrical Engineer Consultant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Six years of professional electrical engineering experience
Special Requirements:
This position requires possession of a valid motor vehicle license.
This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Other Requirements:
This particular position requires candidate to possess one year of professional experience in the design, installation, or maintenance of underground electrically powered mining machinery, mine power distribution, or any mining electrical equipment.
